Grand Adventure Stops By Manzano's RV Park In New Mexico

Silver City, NM based Manzano's RV Park recently enjoyed some time in the spotlight when a popular Youtube channel featured the area in a recent episode. As the video shows, the park enables visitors to take part in their very own RV adventure, and all are welcome to stop by during their trip through the picturesque scenery that surrounds Silver City and surrounding southern New Mexico.

The Youtube channel in question is Grand Adventure, which focuses almost exclusively on taking their audience to outdoor RV adventure destinations and sharing what gear and tips they need to travel in confidence across the western US. Their insight is expansive, touching on a variety of activities that include recreational vehicles, truck and tent camping, skiing, mountain biking, hiking and so on. One of their latest trips took them through the countryside that surrounds Silver City’s borders, and this is what brought them to Manzano's RV Park — a 25-site full-hookup RV campground.

In the video, Grand Adventure host Marc Guido expresses delight in the fact that John and Barb Mucciacciaro were once full-time ‘RVers’ who decided to switch their lifestyle and invest in Manzano's RV Park in Silver City. This is due to the fact that the couple evidently put much of their experience on the road to good use, developing the park to the point that its present condition would have suited their own high expectations as former RVers.

In New Mexico, Manzano's RV Park is notable for their hospitality as much as the beautiful region they are fortunate enough to be located in, and this has not gone unnoticed by their guests. The park often receives glowing feedback from the people who visit, and the team is always looking for new and better ways to improve the quality of everyone’s stay, from keeping the grounds clean to ensuring access to as many modern amenities as possible.

While many glowing reviews can be found on the park’s Google profile, a few offer much more insight on their trip. The park recommends that anyone interested in stopping by should take the time to look up these reviews if they cannot learn about the park firsthand from someone who visited in person (and if they are still not convinced by Grand Adventure’s exploration).

Stacey Whittington, for instance, takes the time to explain that, “We chose Manzano’s RV Park to see the Gila National Forest and cliff dwellings on our way through NM to AZ. It’s always a little nerve racking arriving at a campground traveling with a 43’ 5th wheel toy hauler and dually truck wondering if we’ll actually fit in the site they have for us. John greeted us warmly like old friends and assured us they had a great site for us that both our truck and trailer would fit. Site 10 was roomy, and they had others that would’ve worked for us as well.”

The review adds, “While we were there, the owners, John and Barbara, smoked brisket to share at a socially distanced barbecue, it’s always so nice to stay at a place where the ownership is invested in the experience. There are trails to walk through the land surrounding the campsites. Very quaint, nice sense of community, friendly ownership, laundry and full hooks up. We’d be happy to stay there again!” Many of the features mentioned in this review, such as John’s BBQ events, were also captured on camera by Grand Adventure. Those interested are welcome to watch it at their convenience to see this for themselves.

Barb Mucciacciaro adds that Manzano’s RV Park is an excellent place for everyone who wants to immerse themselves in trees, nature and an undeniable sense of peace. Whether a traveler is only staying for one night or planning to spend a full week (and even longer) at the site, the park has everything they need — and its convenient location means guests are never too far away from some of the area’s best attractions, such as the Gila National Forest, the Gila Cliff Dwellings, the City of Rocks State Park and more.

The new Manzano’s RV Park blog post is titled ‘RV Camping in New Mexico – Exploring In and Around Silver City, NM’. It goes on to mention that Silver City is located in the foothills of the Pinos Altos Mountains which are only a little east of what’s become known as the Continental Divide. Its location and the fact that Silver City is a smaller size city is what makes it popular for outdoor enthusiasts. Adding to the variety is that it has four different mild seasons. This city’s location is also known for its mountain vista views, low humidity, and clean & crisp fresh air. Also not lost on those who visit Silver City is its historic district that has managed to retain its old west flair. The blog also goes over such popular nearby attractions as the Gila Cliff Dwellings, the City of Rocks State Park, the Catwalk, and the Kneeling Nun. Although the city is smaller in size, the article points out that it still has a lively and vibrant atmosphere. Other popular area attractions that the blog mentions are The Big Ditch Park and The Silver City Museum which can be found in an old mansion that dates back to 1881. There is even a ghost ranch in the area that brave adventurers can visit.

The blog wrapped up by talking more about how Manzano’s RV Park can add to the Silver City area experience. This includes 25 Hookups of which 14 are the ‘pull through’ variety. All of them come with a view and are surrounded by trees, nature & tranquility. The campground itself is just off of state highway 180 which is also known as Silver Heights Blvd. They are a brief 5-to-10-minute drive from Silver City and its historic downtown area. The article also talked about how there is a Super-Walmart, other shopping, restaurants, movies, and a hospital within a short drive from the park. It describes camping at Manzano’s RV Park location as one that’s surrounded by pinion, juniper, and oak trees that only make the experience all that more special. Their elevation of 5,900 feet keeps their guests cool at night even during the summer so campers get a good night’s rest. That way they will be refreshed the next day when they can go see the nearby attractions.

Those that have stayed at Manzano's RV Camping have been very complimentary about their time there. Syljuana Williams wrote, “Great RV park! Most sites are nestled in pinion/cedar pines. Hosts fantastic, very helpful & friendly. Don't miss John's BBQ, great grill master!” Anita Storrs proclaimed, “What a gem!! We came for 4 nights and ended up staying 5 weeks! Clean, quiet small campground with awesome owners, Barb and John! Met great fellow campers and this place definitely felt like home! So sad to leave but know we'll be back! Silver City is an awesome little city!” Elizabeth Ward stated, “If I could give 10 stars I would. So much more than expected for the price. So organized they meet you at the entry and escort you to your site. So clean, Barb and John so helpful, have Saturday night happy hour, nice to meet other travelers and laundry. Went to go to Gila cave dwellings that were so interesting and also walked from the RV park (40 min but you could drive) to the Dragonfly trail. Very easy trail with real live petroglyphs.” These glowing reviews were taken from this campgrounds Google Maps Business listing where a vast majority of reviews rate them 5 out of 5-stars.
